Conservation
As an outdoor company, and with a background in conservation and green rural industries, the protection and sustainability of the spaces we work in is very close to our heart. We understand the pressures our wild spaces and National Parks are under, and endeavour to reduce and manage those pressures as best we can through good practice. In an effort to reduce our carbon footprint, we have an agreement with a Herefordshire Land owner, where every booking received equals a tree planted on his land. In addition to this we aim to champion a conservation effort every year, including sea grass planting, and the cleaning of gullies high on Yr Wyddfas trinity face, please see below
Our commitment to conservation is further demonstrated by our work as an Eryri Ambassador, and our adherence to the values set out by the national park authority, we endeavour to educate those on our courses and the national park users oh how to minimise their impact.
Tree Planting
We managed to get our trees into the ground in March, planting a mix of native species to help restore ancient hedgerows on Sutton Court farm in Herefordshire.
Sea Grass Planting
In Partnership with the BMC, North Wales Wildlife Trust, and Project sea grass, we spent a day learning about our local shark species, and the importance of the sea grass habitats around the Coast of North Wales, as well as the challenges they’re facing from global warming, fishing and sewage pumping.
We then spent the afternoon planting some sea grass transplants in hope to get a new meadow established up here.

Yr Wyddfa Big Clean Up
Myself and a group of other mountain professionals, funded by the BMC, and sponsored by Deuter, endeavoured to clean out some of the plastic and rubbish from the gullies on Trinity face, high on Yr Wyddfa, with thanks to the Snowdon railway for a free lift. in conjunction with the volunteers who the following day helped clear the bottom of the gullies we picked up 4282 items.
Due to the amount of waste in the gullies, sadly there was a layer of plant life lying on top of some plastics, and so we could’nt remove them.
