Conducted in the Northern Cairngorms out of Aviemore over a long weekend, Friday to Monday, this course aims to get people safe and self sufficient in the UK winter mountains. Learning essential skills such as walking in crampons, how to survive our arctic environments, how to use an ice axe, winter nav, and many more. There are some evening lectures involved covering theory in usually in the very welcome warmth of a pub or cafe. With a minimum ratio of 1:4, and a maximum of 1:6

With a ratio of 1:4, our instructors are happy to guide you up the winter mountains of your choice in a safe manner, so you can achieve your goals.

A day’s guiding for 1 person is £200, £105pp for 2 people, £73pp for 3, and £65pp for 4 people.

Based in the Cairngorm National park, we can provide a bespoke winter day for you. If there are specific skills you wish to learn or revise then we can tailor the day to your needs.
